In her childhood, Nidhi was (still is) a massive music buff who loved listening to radio and thus opted for Journalism & Mass Communication. It was during her graduation that she discovered the ubiquitous necessity of internal and external communications and also explored different mediums during her assignments. Eventually, she transitioned from aspiring to be a radio jockey to working as a communication specialist.
Her professional journey began in 2013, as a Communications Professional at Doctors Without Borders/ Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). After understanding the basics and beyond, she worked as a Communications Officer at Milaan Foundation and Global March Against Child Labour.
During her tenure with these acclaimed organizations, she developed strategies for branding, event, social media and communication, designed and executed campaigns, supported in fundraising, visited field projects to gather stories, wrote proposals that were converted into successful grant partnerships and evolved her understanding on lead generation.
At every organization, she experienced the potential and need for visual communications, especially video marketing and designing. She now heads the communications department at Pici Dale by ensuring our partners communicate what’s most beneficial for them and for their audience.
She has experience in SRHR, Child Rights, Women’s Rights, Mental Health and Public Health. She has also done a certification course on Gender & Sexuality. Currently pursuing a course on Dog Psychology and being a parent to 4 rescued dogs, she aims to have her own animal shelter in the next 5 years.
